Order of Battle vs Tabletop Tactics and Tabletop Battles
Last updated:
Tabletop Tactics and Tabletop Battles both help you log an Age of Sigmar game. Neither builds your list, and neither keeps your warscrolls open while you play. Order of Battle does all three in one place: build the list, score the game in Battle record, then tap your army on the scoreboard to open that list mid-turn. Free, no account.
The three apps
- Order of Battle: a free browser app for Age of Sigmar 4th edition. List builder, Battle record for the score, Play for wounds, spells, prayers, and phase abilities, and Combat Calculator to test matchups before the game. Everything stays on your device.
- Tabletop Tactics (tabletoptactics.tv): the app of a battle report channel. You watch shows, and with a free account you can join their League: register a faction, paste a list from another builder, and submit scores that your opponent confirms.
- Tabletop Battles (Goonhammer): a score tracker for several game systems, Age of Sigmar included. Priority rolls, battle tactics, deployment maps, command points, game history, stats, and BCP score submission. An account is optional but needed to link games and sync.

Why Order of Battle for Age of Sigmar
The list and the game live in the same app. Your army in Battle record is the list you built, with its points and the battle tactics you picked. When you need a warscroll, a spell, or the abilities for this phase, tap your army on the scoreboard and it opens in Play. Close it and you are back on the score. No second app, no pasting a roster, no sign-up.
It is built for Age of Sigmar only: regiments, formations, lores, Regiments of Renown, Scourge of Aqshy fury and rage, and a Combat Calculator that reads each unit's weapons and abilities. The walkthrough is in how to use Battle record.
When Tabletop Battles fits
You want stats across many games, you play events that use BCP, you play 40k or Horus Heresy too, or you want games synced between devices.
When Tabletop Tactics fits
You play in the Tabletop Tactics League, or you already use the app to watch their battle reports.
Use them together
Nothing stops you from building and playing here, then submitting the result to a league or BCP there. Features change: this page was checked against their own sites on 30 September 2026. Comparing list builders instead? See the army builder comparison.
