Age of Sigmar and 40k have plenty of list tools. The Old World barely does. If you search for a free The Old World army builder, you mostly get forum posts and spreadsheets. Order of Battle puts Grand Army lists in the same hobby helper that already builds Age of Sigmar armies.
What you can do
- Build Grand Armies and Armies of Infamy: Empire, Bretonnia, Dwarfs, High Elves, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts, Warriors of Chaos, Grand Cathay, and the rest of the catalogues in the app.
- Set Open, Grand Melee, Combined Arms, or Battle March and watch the flags. Composition caps.
- Equip magic items and command, attach detachments, pick a General.
- Open Play for wounds, magic, phase checklists, and victory points. Play for The Old World.
When it fits
You want a free Old World list builder without signing up, and you want that list next to you during the game. This app has no cloud login. If you clear the browser, lists can vanish, so export anything you care about.

How do I switch Order of Battle to The Old World?
Open the menu. Under The old world, tap List builder (it is marked beta). Then tap New list and pick a faction. Age of Sigmar lists stay in the Age of Sigmar menu.
How do I build a The Old World army list?
Pick a faction, set a points cap (2,000 is the usual default), choose a format, pick a General, then add Characters, Core, Special, Rare, and Mercenaries. The builder flags composition caps as you go.
What composition limits does the Old World builder check?
Characters at most 50% of the army, Core at least 25%, Special at most 50%, Rare at most 25%, Mercenaries at most 20%. Formats add extra checks. Confirm the official books before you play.
Can I track a The Old World game in Play?
Yes. Open a saved Old World list and tap Play. Track wounds on units, magic, phase checklists (Strategy, Movement, Shooting, Combat), army rules, and victory points.
