Vampire Counts army builder

Vampire Counts army art used in Order of Battle

The Vampire Counts are blood-drinking aristocrats who raise the dead to fight for them. This is a Legacy army: Games Workshop keeps its rules as a free download, but it isn't part of official matched play. Order of Battle builds the PDF list and a community Renegades list made by fans, not Games Workshop. Their armies combine shambling zombies and skeletons, faster ghouls, ghosts and wolves, elite grave guard and black knights, and powerful vampire lords. Necromantic magic raises and restores units, which keeps the army standing. Undead don't flee; they crumble. If the general falls, the army weakens fast. Lists balance a strong vampire and necromancer core against cheap undead bodies. Spend too much on the vampire and the bodies run thin; spend too little and the magic that holds the army together is gone.
