The Empire of Man army builder

Last updated:

The Empire of Man army art used in Order of Battle

The Empire of Man is the all-rounder of Warhammer: The Old World. Its army list sits in Forces of Fantasy. It brings a bit of everything: state troop regiments with smaller detachments beside them, knightly orders, handguns and crossbows, cannons and volley guns, wizards from several colleges and warrior priests. No single part is the best in the game, so the skill is choosing what to leave out. A list built around big infantry blocks grinds the enemy down. A knight-heavy list wants to hit first. A gunpowder list sits back and shoots. Trying all three at 2,000 points leaves each part too small to work. In Order of Battle you can pick the Grand Army, the City-State of Nuln for a gunpowder theme, or the Knightly Order. The builder flags composition as you go, so you'll see straight away if characters or war machines eat too much.
