The Daemons of Chaos are creatures of pure magic that serve the gods of ruin. This is a Legacy army: Games Workshop keeps its rules as a free download, but it isn't part of official matched play. Order of Battle builds the PDF list and a community Renegades list made by fans, not Games Workshop. Daemons don't break like mortal troops. They are unstable and can fade away instead, and every unit belongs to one of the four gods, which shapes what it does. Khorne brings brutal melee, Tzeentch magic and shooting, Nurgle staying power and Slaanesh speed. Big greater daemons anchor most lists. The tension is between a single-god army with a clear plan and a mixed army that covers more jobs but holds together less well.
